Museum

The Heritage Museum, is situated on two floors of the old hay barn.  Small farming implements of yesteryear are on the upper level of the newly restored High Laithe barn, whilst old ploughs, carts and heavy machinery are at ground level in both barns.

On the ground floor our old “1957 Grey and Gold Fergie”, numerous old ploughs, and heavy machinery.

Upstairs can be seen our collection of butter churns, scythes, hay spades, hay forks, peat barrow, turnip chopper, straw chopper, seed drills, weighing scales, two-man saws, child’s pony trap, cartwheels, milk-maid yokes, milk churns, castrators, branding irons……. And the list goes on.

Everything is labelled and explained.
